Usually i'm not a huge fan of peplums but this................OMG!!! i'm seriously drooling over. Trend Alert - Overalls. Plus, how to rock them!

It was the IT apparel in the 70's, 90's and now it is back in 2014. Overalls are hitting the fashion scene in the most chic way you can ever imagine.  Gone were the days when overalls where worn strictly in workshops and feilds - GUESS and Rag N Bone were some of the designers that gave the one piece clothing a whole new interpretation at fashion week. 

The most important tip to pulling overalls off is getting the fit right. These days, overalls have been designed to be more fitted to the body rather than the baggy shiouette we had years back.

Nicki Minaj's new style - love it or hate it?

The ever dramatic female rapper Nicki Minaj has kinda like turned a new leaf.......stylewise that is. Over the past couple of weeks, she's been spotting really demure natural looks - totally stripped off her signature colored wigs, flamboyant costumes and makeup. Just like during the recent MTV movie awards, she looked beyond stunning in her head-toe ensemble. She even went ahead to bag the award for best dressed on E's fashion police - surprised? Hmmmm...... Special shoutout to all my fabulous readers. Thank you all for your prayers, wishes and patience. From the bottom of my heart, i am indeed grateful - God bless you all immeasurably. I'm back now however i might still be a little epileptic due to recovery but i'll do my best possible to keep up. BTW, please guys, fill me in......what did i miss? What's the latest in Nigerian fashion? What is trending? I've not been able to see a lot considering the fact that i've been indoor for almost 2months now! Can't wait to hear from you! Xoxo......

Reason for my long absence!

I can't start to narrate the whole thing guys cos i wouldn't even know where to start but in a nut shell, i've been seriously i'll over the past couple of weeks. It took me so sudden, i didn't get the chance to give you a notice. I was off work and blogging based on doctors advice. Thanks be to God, i'm strongly on my way to full recovery now. Many thanks to everyone for the your concerns and patience - i can't appreciate you enough. God bless you all in Jesus name. God willing i will be back sooner than you know. There's Kris Jenner (50's), Jenifer Lopez (40's) and Kim Kardashian (30's) all spotted last week looking very chic in their individual ensemble - who looked best? Personally, i vote Kris' look - very chic and sophisticated. I however wish she had worn an appropriate bra, those girls need some serious support. Lol! Whose look is your favorite?

Funlola Aofiyebi-Raimi in coral jumpsuit - Hit or Miss?

Now this is what i want Funlola looking like. Show something! Show skin gracefully! I totally criticized her red carpet look during the show here because she was way too covered up as a young beautiful woman with such amazing bod. She spotted this look during the AMVCA pre-party BTW. It is lovely sleeveless coral jumpsuit styled with large hoop earrings, statement bracelet and a bright green envelop clutch - i heart her afro too. Super Model/entrepreneur Heidi Klum wore her version of the gorgeous one shouldered embellished high slit white dress by Alexandre Vaulthier to the Golden Globes last year while Nigerian actress Mercy Aigbe wore hers just a few weeks back during the AMVCA. Going by the infamous words of the latest IT girl in fashion Lupita Nyong'o at the 2014 Oscars  - ''No matter where you're from, your dreams are valid'' right! Well, i kinda wanna rephrase that a bit and state - No matter how bald you are, you can always rock a head band like nobody's business. Lol! We all know Lupita never gets it wrong with fashion but whats more is that she never gets it wrong with hair (very understated). The dark skinned Kenyan beauty has proven beyond reasonable doubt that you don't need weaves to be beautiful and glamorous. After studying some of her fabulous looks, i've come up with two easy tricks to pulling off her lovely head pieces, which are:

Now that's a good looking 40 something! The bootilicious diva was spotted during the taping of American Idol in this hot pink ensemble styled with minimal accessories, sleek ponytail and nude pumps. She's been criticized for looking a bit too childish, do you agree? See more looks below

You can actually wear a cropped top without showing skin!

It is the latest creation from Karl Lagerfeld (Chanel) and already fabulous women in the industry have been spotting it (Rihanna and Keira Knightley). The somewhat illusion apparel features a loose fit top over a more fitted matching dress shrunken at the waist area - this in effect creates a thinner waist, wider upper and lower half. Would you wear? and what do you think about the creation?

The beautiful actress looks every inch sophisticated in a recently released photo shoot. She spotted a bright yellow chiffon Tee, black pencil skirt, gold cuff waist belt, bold statement necklace and a patent leather leopard print stiletto. Best and Worst dressed from the AMVCA 2014! My thoughts!

One of the most prestigious movie awards in Africa ' The Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards' went down yesterday and ofcos it was a night of glitz and glamor. Stars turned up in gorgeous designer dresses as expected but who looked perfect and who looked pathetic? Aside from red being the color of the night, here are my best and worst looks from the event. First up, the breathe taking Kate Henshaw - i am so distracted by her gorgeous hair and makeup, i don't even want to talk about the dress even though i think it was a lovely choice. I wonder how she wrapped it tho? Hmmmm.Nice one Kate! More looks below:

She's spotted the wrap pants a couple of times by now. Her's specifically by Ejiro Amos Tafiri but would you consider trying this? Personally, i don't think i'd mind.
