Fashion must have - Blazer Dresses!

The name may sound a little bit awkward but unknown to you, it is an outfit you have most likely seen on a couple of people before. Blazer dresses just as the name implies are dress designed in form of a blazer jacket to match the feminine physique. The approach to this apparel is usually very edgy, sexy, sophisticated and sometimes a bit retro. Its been on and off season in a big way for the past couple of years and i think its gradually becoming a wardrobe staple. Unfortunately, it is not one of those fashion apparel that can be pulled off by a lot of people. However, if you've got a nice pair of legs, perky tata's (cos they are mostly deep cuts), and a fierce/confident fashion attitude, then you might want to add this to your closet.

Just as i  wrote earlier, your body must be in top notch shape to pull this off as you might be flashing a significant amount of skin. Here are a few tips to guide you.

- Sky high heels are best for this apparel because they help to emphasize your legs and elongate them.

- Please, please in the name of God, if the blazer dress is really deep cut, ensure you use pasties on your breasts to avoid any wardrobe malfunctions. Flat chested girls are of greater advantage here.

 - Also, be mindful of the sleeves. Ensure they are the perfect length and not longer or shorter as this may in reverse make the fit of blazer dress appear awkward.

Personally, i prefer for blazer dresses to be worn during night outings (especially the super short ones) i.e red carpet or dates. Flashing that amount of skin in the day time will most likely be tagged as 'trashy and desperate'. Only Rihanna ofcos can get away with that right. Lol!

Depending on what you're going for and your skin tone, all colors work great. Don't you just love this blue? Totally wearable to the office or even a cocktail. Lesson learnt: it all depends on the hem but note, they MUST be a couple of inches above your knee to get the best look.

All that being said, would you be considering adding the 'blazer dress' to your closets anytime soon?
