Trend alert.............Vertical stripes pants!

We all agree that the monochrome is such a huge trend this season from dresses, pants, blazers.........and the new approach its taking now is the vertical striped pants. Yes, it a little tricky to pull off cos for any reason it goes wrong, you may end up looking like a circus star. Lol! What i specifically love about this trend is the fact that it is very slimming and flattering. So if you're thinking of experimenting the trend (which i recommend), here are a few tricks you should have in mind.

We saw the beautiful actress Damilola Adegbite wear hers a while ago pairing it with this classy white blazers and short pixie hair cut. She looked amazing! I only wish she opted for a classic red lips instead of her pink.

The most common approaches to the vertical striped pants is either the baggy (my favorite) or the more fitted ones. I recommend the baggy for slim ladies while if you're more curvy, opt for a fitted one. There are several ways to pull of the trend however you have to be a bit careful. You can't go all out with colors and pattern however you can infuse your creativity and style in the following ways

with plain colors - pairing vertical stripped pants with plain shirts like white and black may be a little basic but it sure is classy. If you love colors so much, bring it in with accessories or makeup. Bright lips, pumps and handbags works great.

with prints/patterns - if you are the more edgy fashionista, obviously like Solange, Fergie and Nicole, you can work with prints but keep in mind the most important rule as to mixing prints and pattern 'keep the dimensions the same'. Calm the whole fashion drama down with a plain color blazer like Nicole and Fergie.

Except you're Solange who can pretty much get away with any/everything, be careful not to go too over the top with this trend.

A huge benefit of this trend is that it is slimming. It elongates your body and its super stylish. Keep this few tips in mind and you sure will be rocking. So what do you think about the trend?
