Anklet is a a piece of jewelry worn around the leg (ankles) mostly by women and a few men. At this part of the world, am sure you'd agree with me that there are mixed perceptions to the fashionable piece, so today i want a sincere deliberation on what your opinion is on it. Do you wear one? If yes, why? If not, why? Lets talk..............

Reason why i brought the topic up....... i was at a family wedding recently (you know how dem naija family ish na, aunties/uncles and all that). It happened that i was wearing one and my big aunt (or rather, big mummy as we'll say) suddenly called me kekele to one corner. Frightened as hell thinking i was going to be scolded for not serving a section of the party, instead she lashed out on a lot of fetish things about the simple jewelry. I was so shock, you needed to have seen my face. I jejely removed it and threw it in my clutch immediately. Omolomo like me, i love and will definitely continue to wear them however, never to a family function again. Abeg, i no get body for wahala! Lol!

ReplyDeleteI used to wear them till my dad asked to me explain the significance. I couldn't so I removed it & stopped. Immediately I got married, I started wearing it again. Hubby doesn't mind. I love anklets.
