Head '2' Toe Denim!

Yeah Yeah, its made its come back for almost 2 years now but i just can't seem to get enough of the look. Rihanna made a stunning appearance just last week in the early 90's trend and she totally proves that the head 2 toe look ain't going no where. What i typically love about it is how it keeps evolving (we all know in Fashion, What goes around is always gonna come back around). A bit  daring and tricky to pull of considering our 'Naija sun swag', however i'll be giving a couple of style ideas that would help you become a 'matchy matchy' pro in no time.............


Follow these few style tips and get your 'denim' rocking

Go 2 toned or more 

   

This is the most important rule to pulling this look off. Don't be too matchy-matchy. If you are wearing a dark jean pants, pair it with a lighter denim top or vice versa. . It keeps the look subtle and pleasing to the eye (If you know what i mean)  lol! There are a lot of colored and trendy printed denims in the market now, you can also work with that for an extra edge.

Add a pop of color

   

The world could use a bit of color right! Since its an all'blue' affair, you might as well touch it up with a bright hue (don't you just love Katie's orange piece). Add an extra spice by bringing it in with a bright colored scarf, handbag, pumps, bangle, belt e.t.c. The possibilities are endless.

Go light

   

Sometimes, denims could be a little bit too 'heavy' thereby making it overwhelming and uncomfortable - coupled with the fact that you are gonna be wearing it head 2 toe. Try to make atleast one of your pieces (material) very light and soft. This is mostly done with the top.

2 denim fabric 

  

Make sure your denim are in different wash. Pair light and dark, Distressed and clean, skinnies with loose.......got the idea hey!

Make the look yours

  

If you wanna play the next door simple girl look like Reese, go super bad girl fierce like Riri or just keeping it chic and sweet like Christiana, the most important thing is that it defines your persona and you have fun with it cos at the end of the day - its just fashion (nothing serious)!
